how to submit

 

If you would like to submit, please do so using our Kavyar submission platform here.
we accept free submissions as well as paid submissions. With paid submissions you will receive special recognition in the upcoming issue even if your story is not chosen for publication.
please note: not all who pay are not GUARANTEED to be published.

 

submission guidelines

 

  • all submissions must have a minimum of 8 different images. all submissions must be made before the final deadline outlined in the kavyar submission page.
     

  • all submissions must have full credits for the team who worked on the project. submissions without team information will not be accepted.
    please include ( all ) social media links for every team member who worked on the said project by stating the following:
    occupation: first & last name ( @socialmediatag / www.website.com )
     

  • print editorial submissions MUST include a MIN. of 6 different clothing looks/changes.
     

  • depending on the issue - we might allow for "stylist's own" or "vintage" "No label" clothing credits.
    however, please try to include most if not all wardrobe information present in the photo.
     

  • The editorial should include relative fashion for the following season. We will not accept submissions including swimsuits or summer outfits if nothing else in the editorials styling says "fall/winter" - please style the shoot accordingly. We will allow summer outfits as long as they are paired with Fall forward styling if the submission is for fall/winter issue.
     

  • The editorial MUST remain exclusive and unpublished/unseen ( you may no share it online before its release )
    If I  notice your editorial is shared online before the print issue is released you will be pulled out of the publication with no warning. ( This goes for paid submissions as well )
     

  • Please submit ONLY the Highest Resolution Images you have.
    Pleae do not crop your images, leave the original dimension.
    We welcome High Resolution JPG but we prefer TIFF or PNG with the shortest length being no shorter than 3000PX in 300DPI.
    >General rule of thumb is: if the image is any smaller than 16mP then it is too small to be published in print.

what is the release date?

 

on the 15th of every third month of the year the issue is released in print on magcloud.com for print-on-demand.

  • spring: march 15th

  • summer: june 15th

  • fall: september 15th

  • winter: december 15th

 

do you provide free printed copies?

 

no. even if you are accepted into the publication you will have to purchase your own copy on magcloud.com when it is released.
there are no discounts or promotions for submitters
Please note: we are a small company with limited budget and most of our work is done for free.

 

do you provide free digital copies?

 

you will receive your tearsheets on the release date when the issue is online.
when you purchase your print copy you will receive a free digital copy automatically with your purchase.
Please, there is no need to email us asking for one - you will receive a free digital copy with your printed copy purchase **

 

can I have the cover story?

 

  • the cover story is chosen based on the following criteria:

  • most relevant in theme & look which fits the issue's theme best

  • most amount of high quality images and best all around presence.

  • Most amount of clothing / makeup changes. All printed editorials have to be no less than 6 outfit looks.

  • To be considered for cover story you have to have a minimum of 8+ outfit looks.**

 

do you provide styling pull-letters?

 

if you email us a proposal for a future project which you will be photographing specifically for _editorial magazine, yes.
Please include the proposed photographer / model / muah / styling team, an existing theme moodboard and photographing style / editing style moodboard.

 

copyright notice

 

when you submit to the editorial qc magazine you release your copyright to us to enlarge, reduce or crop the original image to best fit our page layouts. please make sure you are the original copyright holder upon submitting - if you are a stylist or a team member please have all the proper credits and permissions from the photographer before placing your submission.
